Old building. location close to railway as we aredo not drive much. Very Clean guest bathrooms.
Toilet facilities downstairs needs remodelling.
We had a few drinks and left without unpacking bags
We had a few drinks and left without unpacking bags The room stank There were no appliances or facilities in the room It was not charming or old world It could be done up but needs a lot of work
Absolute nothing to like, this " hotel" should not be listed as a hotel, it is a pub with a few room to let. The free breakfeast were not to bad.
The rooms were old and dingy, no basic comfort such as fridge. The door was dropping so it had to be slammed shut, I dont know what other guest's thought of that but I can imagen. We shared the bathrooms wich had no mirrors and no places to place your clothes while showering. We had booked for 2 nights but left after one as the weather turned bad and we could not face a day cooped up in those rooms. We lost $270.00 but were happy to get home.
Location and food
A little bit noise at night (Bar and traffic)
convenient to our activities in Wentworth Falls
nothing really spectacular about the place. Average value for money. Continental breakfast only
We stayed in the Spa Suite so the facilities were wonderful and the service from Sandra to organise flowers / chocolates and champagne for my anniversary was greatly appreciated.
I appreciated that I was able to book just one night over a long weekend. Not much has changed at the Grand View. We have been going there for quite a few years. The mattress firm and comfortable, fresh clean sheets. Debra gave us pleasant and efficient service throughout dinner, which was delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. All seven of us. The restaurant was extremely busy, they managed well with the numbers. I'm sure that everyone will give a huge hooray when the roadworks are finished.
Although not a 5 star hotel as far as accommodation goes the friendly and efficient staff and good food and cleanliness make up for any rating. A reasonably quiet location with ample parking and friendly patrons and guests that gives the hotel a real country feeling. Reccomend the grand view for an enjoyable stay.
Our room was lovely - and very warm - it was freezing (literally) when we arrived. The owner was playing the piano then & during the evening; there was a real wood fire in the dining room; the meals were lovely; the bathroom facilities, although shared, were first class.
There was a communal tv room with coffee making facilities which was all great except we couldn't make the tv work! We asked the manager but he said he couldn't work it either! It didn't really matter though as we were tired enough to go to bed!
I like the fact that the hotel is nearly 100 years old. It really is experiencing an earlier time; that means of course shared bathrooms, but the place is clean and well maintained. It had a nice squeak in the stairs and also in one spot in the bedroom - lovely. A big old comfy country hotel where everything worked well and the staff where pleasant and helpful.
Just the proximity to the road. We had the room closest to the traffic but it wasn't a big deal. It didn't keep us awake. Car parking isn't covered.
plesent staff after a trip good beer and food. better than an empty motel room
noise floor boards in hall
Nice simple convenient no hassle & great spa
could supply bubble bath for spa (had to us our own shampoo)
Excellent and very friendly staff. good selection of quality food.Location right in the centre of town with all ameneties like shopping dining etc at the doorstep.
Dirty, old, bad facilities, bathrooms small and far from rooms, carpet and room very dated and wethered. No service, group room with tv was small and not functional. Didnt enjoy the stay.
Surprisingly quiet on a Sat night!
How about a couple more easily reachable power points in the rooms?
